HÁBITAT Project and Best Practices for the Residential Inclusion of Migrants

Short description
The HÁBITAT Project, led by Asociación Columbares (Murcia, Spain), develops innovative models for the residential inclusion of migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees, combining housing support with personalised mentoring, social accompaniment, and educational guidance. The project includes mentoring schemes that provide individualised socio-educational orientation, job search counselling, language support, and administrative assistance, delivered by trained volunteers and professionals. The project organises Best Practices Conferences to disseminate methodologies and exchange experiences among grassroots organisations. Its holistic approach focuses on stabilising living conditions as a foundation for educational and labour market integration. The model is highly transferable to mentoring programmes supporting refugees' full inclusion in host societies.
