Guiding the Way: Mentorship for Refugee Integration

The project "Patinnen, Mentorinnen und Lotsinnen" (Patrons, Mentors, and Guides), led by the German NGO Bundesverband für Bildung und Erziehung (BBE), supports refugee women and families through mentorship and community integration. Trained female volunteers provide guidance on education, childcare, and navigating daily life in Germany, helping refugees overcome cultural and bureaucratic challenges. By fostering one-on-one relationships and local networks, the initiative promotes social inclusion, language acquisition, and empowerment. Aimed at creating long-term stability, the project strengthens bonds between refugees and their new communities while addressing gender-specific needs.
