CONSOLIDATE Project: Mentoring and Training for Labour Integration of Refugees in Fuenlabrada, Spain

Short description
The CONSOLIDATE Project, implemented in Fuenlabrada (Madrid, Spain), offers an integrated model of mentoring and vocational training for the labour integration of refugees and newly arrived migrants. The project combines theoretical and practical training workshops with personalised mentorship provided by trained volunteers and professionals. Mentors support participants in developing essential skills for the Spanish labour market, including language proficiency, intercultural communication, administrative procedures, and professional competencies. The programme closely collaborates with local companies, training centres, and public employment services to align training pathways with real market demands, increasing participants' employability and social inclusion. The CONSOLIDATE Project serves as a transferable good practice that empowers refugees to build sustainable educational and professional trajectories within their host communities, offering a holistic approach that can be adapted to other European contexts.
